Mission in Albania, Rodopite, Romania, Poland, Germany, Netherlands, Bulgaria – This year, it will be the end of the year, 2021

We are glad to share our impressions from our mission in Albania – a time filled with God’s presence, unity, and living hope.

Nine people from Bulgaria dedicated nine days to ministry north of the capital, Tirana. Our mission covered three towns, with Burrel as the main center. Upon our arrival, we were welcomed by an international team of missionaries from Estonia, Latvia, Russia, Ukraine, and Sweden – people with open hearts and a readiness to serve. From the very first day, we began working in amazing harmony – each according to their gifts: technical support, music, children’s ministry, social initiatives, and organization.

Burrel – open hearts and living faith

The first four days were spent in Burrel, where we connected with the small local church and encouraged the believers. Every evening, the central square became a place of life and joy. We began with a children’s program – filled with games, songs, and messages of hope. Children came with their parents and gladly received booklets, brochures, and New Testaments.

Although the region is predominantly Muslim, people welcomed us with warmth and respect. Pastors from other towns also joined us, and the joy of serving together was tangible. For four evenings, the name of Jesus Christ was proclaimed openly, accompanied by music performances and a clear message of the Gospel.

Pastors from Tirana shared that they had prayed for 18 years for such a ministry, and that there had not been such a large-scale evangelization in the region for decades. The lack of materials and active evangelists makes every such initiative extremely valuable. Their gratitude was deep and sincere.

Social initiatives – faith in action

We met with representatives of the local authorities, including the mayor and the director of social services, who showed openness and support. We purchased and distributed food products to the families most in need, selected by the municipality. We also organized special meetings with them.

In addition, we supported two kindergartens with essential items – gas stoves, dishes, and equipment they urgently needed. Faith was expressed not only through words, but also through actions.

Mountain towns – challenge and grace

After Burrel, we continued to two mountain towns. In Bulqizë, located high in the mountains, we ministered outdoors. We distributed brochures, children’s materials, and New Testaments. The work there required patience and love – the children were extremely energetic, but through them we were also able to reach the adults.

In Klos, we organized events in a tent after prior promotion. The programs included live music – saxophone, trumpet, guitar, as well as local performances. The atmosphere was full of life, and people received the materials with great interest – the children were literally grabbing them from our hands.

In every place, we gave an invitation for a personal decision for Christ. There were people who responded, and others who watched and reflected – but the Word was sown.

Unity that comes from God

One of the strongest experiences was the unity within the team. People from different nations, cultures, and languages – yet such deep love, harmony, and agreement. This was a clear testimony of God’s work.

We experienced God’s protection at every step – from crossing the borders to every meeting and event. Many shared that they sensed a different atmosphere around us – an atmosphere of peace, joy, and presence.

We had time for prayer, fellowship, family visits, and building relationships. It was a time not only of ministry, but also of spiritual growth.

The need remains – and so does the calling

For many years, Albania was under the influence of atheism, and this is still felt today. The resistance we encountered was often of this nature. But the thirst for truth and hope is real.

There is a great need for evangelists, materials, and prayer support. The local churches are small, but hungry for growth and revival.

Glory to God for everything that happened in Albania!
May He protect the seed that was sown and multiply it.
His presence was with us the entire time – and all the glory belongs to Him.
